Background: By cancelling her show in Apartheid Israel, Lorde’s took a principled stand to support human rights. She did so as a result of learning from activist-fans about Israel’s human rights abuses against Palestinians.

Lorde then wrote this song for BDS about stolen lands, dedicated to the people of Palestine.

Boycotts are a time-honored nonviolent tactic in the tradition of the US civil rights movement and the South African anti-apartheid movement. Representative Randy Fine is using Florida’s anti-BDS law to demand Lorde’s upcoming show in Florida canceled. Help us tell Rep. Fine to back off! Florida’s laws should be in line with the constitution and Lorde should not be bullied — take action via Code Pink.
