RU Editor’s note: The real assault on Democracy was of course keeping the secrets that the Pentagon Papers revealed.  Next I suppose they will declare that revealing the torture in Abu Ghriab was also an assault on Democracy.  This network of ruling elites who think they are intellectually superior to the hoi polloi (that is, collectively the citizens of the USA) and therefore can commit crime after crime in our name will do anything to hold their power.
