March 30, 2012    Join together in Washington, DC for an Occupied American Spring

“We the People” are calling Occupations from across the country to join together for an American Spring in Washington, DC.  The National Occupation of Washington DC (NOW DC) will begin on March 30 to demonstrate against the corruption and abject failure of both parties in conducting our domestic and foreign policies; the Supreme Court for allowing the Constitution to be perverted; and the dysfunction of corporate controlled government, as well as to demonstrate our commitment to create a new world where the people, not the 1%, rule.

People in the United States now see that they do have power, that united and acting in solidarity they can change the direction of the country.  NOW DC will take the Occupy Movement to a new level.  NOW DC will unite occupations in a focused campaign to demonstrate to Washington, DC – both elected officials and the K Street interests that control them – that the people no longer accept their rule; and that a radical transformation to a participatory democracy operating under the rule of law is essential to the end the cruel and unjust reign of money over government.

The time has come when people’s eyes are open to the atrocities of U.S. domestic policy that steals from the people to add to the already gluttonous wealth of the 1%, policies that throws people out of their homes, denies needed medical treatment and drives families into bankruptcy and wages constant wars abroad, all so that CEOs can dine on gold-lined plates in their personal jets as they travel from gated mansions to leather seats in penthouse offices.

We know the current path of corporate, greed dominated rule is unsustainable for the planet and for life. The people of these United States must make a choice. NOW is the time for the people to take the reins of government as the economic and political elites have led the nation into corruption, never-ending war quagmires and the manipulation of the economy so only the wealthiest are served.

Bring your tents and your skills, your vision and your heart, and join us in supporting the National Occupation of Washington.
