Rasouli is a founder of the Muslim Peacemaker Team. He was instrumental in organizing a sister city relationship with Minneapolis and Najaf and continues to foster communication and relationships between Iraqis and Minneapolis as well as continuing his work with the Muslim Peacemakers Team in Iraq. Rasouli is working currently on a project with the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG.org).
