Dear  _____________________________

At our September General Meeting our Mpls. St. Paul Veterans for Peace unanimously passed the following resolution :

” Be it Resolved that Veterans for Peace Chapter 27 call on its Minnesota Congressional Delegation  to insist upon Israel’s withdrawal from the Golan Heights, and to introduce legislation for all U.S. aid to Israel be diverted to assisting Syrian refugees.  Be it further Resolved that all covert and overt funding by the United States for the overthrow of the Syrian Government be used instead for the same refugees.”

UN resolutions 242 and 947 provide the premises for our resolution, and given the United States desire to assist Syrian refugees this enables us to place our priorities accordingly instead of enriching the arms merchants.  Since Israel has claimed they have no room for refugees this presents a clear and present solution.

Sincerely,
Dave Logsdon, President
Chapter 27 VFP
