Oh wait! Oddly enough, in case you hadn’t noticed, there’s one place where it’s barely talked about at all, where silence largely reigns, and to my mind that couldn’t be stranger.
George Bush’s press spokesman once called the media “complicit enablers”.
As if to prep the populace for their desired outcome, for weeks, mainstream corporate media has been readying the people for a Clinton/Trump general election contest.
“More veterans are killing themselves than are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Reppenhagen said in 2011. “You think they’re coming home because they’re proud of what they did? 3rd Brigade just came back to Fort Carson two weeks ago, and six of them killed themselves already.”
In this environment, one would hope journalism could serve to inform without inflaming the situation.
