“Henry Giroux: Trump’s Enabling of Violence and Hate Is a Form of State Terrorism”      —Truthout

“It is not light that is needed, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, the earthquake. The feeling of the nation must be quickened; the conscience of the nation must be roused; the propriety of the nation must be startled; the hypocrisy of the nation must be exposed; and the crimes against God and man must be proclaimed and denounced.” from “A Democracy in Exile Fights Against Fascism”

Loved the interview up until Giroux began touting the virtues of city governance over federal governance. The libertarian movement away from nations and toward “charter cities” is part of the neoliberal paradigm. A charter city experiment was recently performed in Honduras but failed. The dismantling of the federal government, or the transitioning of responsibilities to the MIC has been outlined in Rosa Brooks’ book, How Everything Became War and the Military Became Everything. There was an ozy.com article about countries becoming obsolete, but is no longer available. It all coincides with the end goal of creating a libertarian dystopia where there are no rights, no environmental protections, no safety inspections, no freedom to roam, no citizenship:

“In a libertarian society, there is no commons or public space. There are property lines, not borders. When it comes to real property and physical movement across such real property, there are owners, guests, licensees, business invitees and trespassers – not legal and illegal immigrants.” ~ Jeff Deist, president of the Mises Institute

MMT (modern monetary theory) has exposed the many lies that support neoliberalism and has become a worldwide movement. Change begins in the classroom and it is underway.

Today’s economics students and graduates have been done a terrible disservice by not learning the truth about economics. They are not taught pluralism, economic history, nor do they discuss money, debt or banks!

“…If you look at mainstream economics there are three things you will not find in a mainstream economic model – Banks, Debt, and Money.

How anybody can think they can analyze capital while leaving out Banks, Debt and Money is a bit to me like an ornithologist trying to work out how a bird flies whilst ignoring that the bird has wings…”
    ― Steve Keen

“Economics students are forced to spend so much time with this complex calculus so that they can go to work on Wall St. that there’s no room in the course curriculum for the history of economic thought. So all they know about Adam Smith is what they hear on CNN news or other mass media that are a travesty of what these people really said and if you don’t read the history of economic thought, you’d think there’s only one way of looking at the world and that’s the way the mass media promote things and it’s a propagandistic, Orwellian way.

The whole economic vocabulary is to cover up what’s really happening and to make people think that the economy is getting richer while the reality is they’re getting poorer and only the top is getting richer and they can only get rich as long as the middle class and the working class don’t realize the scam that’s being pulled off on them.”
    ~ Michael Hudson

Here is a comedic clip on the immolation of neoliberalism, which is a little too close to the truth of the matter:
