The poem “Pre-Occupied” was originally written for “99 Poems for the 99%” an on-line anthology that will soon be in print, edited by Dean Rader. Poet Heid E. Erdrich creates a visual landscape associations and references that match the tremendous irony of how the word “occupy” can be meant. The poem means to reveal the distracted human mind at a particular point in history. This film inadvertently anticipates the Idle No More Movement of 2012-3013.
