[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIz3C5jTLdo&w=560&h=315] Iran president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has been characterized in many ways as a terrorist, a threat to peace, a threat to Israel. Ahmadinejad is a controversial figure both within Iran and internationally.
Sarah Martin, long-time Minneapolis peace activist met with Ahmadinejad along with about 150 peace activists, This is the third time Martin has, “Exercised her democratic right to speak to a head of state who is in the cross hairs of U.S. aggression.”
Ahmadinejad was in New York for his annual and final address to the United Nations.
After statements by some present, Ahmadinejad spoke to the group. Martin found him, “Compelling, intriguing, not at all the demon that he’s made out to be.”
“This ‘dictator’ cannot run for election again,” added Martin
